Winter socks: the weight is the brief, the embroidery is the signature
Cold-season socks are bought on weight and sold on the surface. Inside sits a cushioned terry sole. Outside sits an embroidery or a jacquard. One published style carries both.
A cold-season order is a calendar problem
Weight, quantity and the shelf date decide whether the order lands in season.
Transit runs approx. 25–40 days by sea, 5–10 by air, 3–7 by express. Work back from the shelf date.

Worked back from a shelf date
| Step | If the clocks run long (5 + 30 + 40 days) | If the clocks run short (3 + 20 + 25 days) |
|---|---|---|
| Brief and artwork signed | 17 September | 14 October |
| Deposit paid, sample approved | 22 September | 17 October |
| Goods loaded | 22 October | 6 November |
| On the shelf | 1 December | 1 December |
Worked for a 1 December shelf date and sea freight, using only the clocks printed on this page. We publish no seasonal cut-off date and no separate peak-season figure, because neither would hold for every order: the clocks above are the ones we quote, and the desk says per order whether a date holds. If a date cannot be met, the reply says so with the costing rather than after you commit.
Weight, construction and yarn, side by side

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Premium ODM Winter Knitted Embroidery Athletic Crew Socks | Crew | Spandex / cotton | Cushioned terry sole; knitted-in embroidery | Cold-season sport and everyday wear |

Yarn and construction lines are each style’s own listing data. Weight per pair and the blend are confirmed on your quotation.
What the floor holds for cold season
The winter construction is one style. The shoulder months are covered by two others.
Terry and embroidery, or a lighter crew
Premium ODM Winter Knitted Embroidery Athletic Crew Socks
cushioned terry sole, knitted-in embroidery, sweat-absorbing knit. Spandex and cotton, crew.
Non-Slip Breathable Autumn Casual Crew Socks
mid-calf non-slip crew, breathable knit, solid color. Spandex and cotton.
Professional Cushioned Athletic Socks
cushioned sole, breathable knit, anti-slip treatment. The lighter build for shoulder months.
The yarn row on our homepage names cotton, bamboo, merino and recycled. The blend per style is confirmed on your quotation.
Embroidery is knitted in, not sewn on
On the winter crew the embroidery is knitted into the sock, so it sits inside the pattern and no patch edge can lift. We set aside the dye lot, so the second shipment matches the first.

What an embroidery brief has to answer
| Point | What this page can tell you | What fixes it |
|---|---|---|
| Where it sits | On the cuff — the logo placement line on the specification sheet | Artwork fixes size and position before sampling |
| How many positions | The cuff is the placement this style carries; the artwork proof shows every position before knitting | The sample you approve |
| How many colours | No fixed maximum is printed here: a cuff holds fewer colours than a full jacquard body, and the stitch count sets the rest | The desk answers with a figure once it holds your artwork and the machine it would run on |
Colour count is the one line we will not print as a number, because it follows the artwork and the machine. Send the crest or monogram and the position, and the reply carries the figure. The reasoning behind that is written out in how a design is approved.
Questions a winter buyer asks
Do you knit merino?
Yes, as a brief rather than a published style. Merino is named in the yarn row on our homepage; no style here is knitted in it yet. Send the count and the blend and the quotation confirms them.
What weight is the winter crew?
Confirmed on your quotation, not printed here. Weight follows the yarn count and the sole construction. The listing does state the terry sole and the knitted-in embroidery.
Can our logo be embroidered?
Yes. Knitted-in embroidery runs on this floor, and the cuff is the logo placement on the specification sheet. Artwork fixes size and position before sampling.
Will it arrive in season?
That is arithmetic, not a promise. Sampling is typically 3–5 days after artwork. Bulk is typically 20–30 days after deposit and approved sample.
Two styles from the catalog for this use
Both are current listings on this floor. Each card opens the style’s own page, with the photographs and specification sheet that settle the questions above.
Send the shelf date, not a product name
Tell us the weight you sell, the yarn you want, the quantity band and the date it must be on the shelf. We will say whether the calendar works.
We answer every enquiry within one working day; replies come from Michelle Zhang, Export sales manager.
