Manufacturer · who actually knits

Manufacturer of socks

A manufacturer is a building with machines in it and a name on a certificate. This page gives you both without an adjective in between: the factory entity, the contracting entity, what the floor holds, and the two audit documents that name it.

If you have been quoted by three traders and cannot tell which of them knits, this is the page that proves the difference on our side. Every figure here is already published elsewhere on the site; the page gathers them so a procurement file can be built from one URL.

Three names, one order

Who is who on the paperwork

The most common reason a first order stalls is not price, it is that the name on the quotation does not match the name on the audit. On this floor the split is deliberate, so it is printed rather than smoothed over.

White cushioned athletic crew socks with a grey sole

The site brand

Sock Wholesalers is the name of this website. It is not a company name and it is not the name that will appear on a contract, a proforma invoice or a bank transfer. That is the whole of what it means.

Where it appears
On this site only.
Where it does not
On any document that binds.

Evidence: Spelled out on contact under “Where the two names diverge”.

Long slouch crew socks with a non-skid sole

The contracting entity

QS Knitting Co.,Ltd, Baoshan District, Shanghai, China, phone +86-13761030160. This is the entity that contracts, exports and is named on your quotation and proforma invoice.

What we publish
The entity, its district and its phone.
You decide
Whether it is the entity your finance team can pay.

Evidence: Named on contact and in the glossary.

The factory entity

Zhuji Qingsheng Knitting Co.,Ltd, No. 79 Jiangbei Road, Datang Sub-district, Zhuji City, Zhejiang Province. This is the entity that holds the audits and runs the machines, and it is the address on your packing list.

What we publish
The full postal address.
You decide
Whether to ask for both names before paying a deposit.

Evidence: The address is on about the factory and on both audit documents.

The audits

BSCI 26-0419962, current until 14 Aug 2027, and SEDEX (SMETA) ZAA600215648, audited 12–13 Aug 2026. Both are held by the factory entity, and both reports are on this site as files rather than as a summary written by us.

What we publish
Numbers, holders, dates, files.
You decide
Which one your compliance desk needs.

Evidence: Certificates, and the PDFs on contact.

What we do not hold

No OEKO-TEX, GRS or medical-device file on our name. Ask, and the reply says which of them we can and cannot hold for your order — which is a different sentence from the one a page like this usually prints.

What we publish
The three we do not hold.
You decide
Whether you need one of them from the yarn instead.

Evidence: The buyer FAQ says the same thing.

The photographs

Every factory and workshop photograph on this site was taken inside this facility. Reverse-image search one and it lands on this site, not a stock library — which is the cheapest manufacturer test there is, and it costs you nothing.

What we publish
That the photos are ours.
You decide
Whether to reverse-search one now.

Evidence: About the factory states it, and the photos carry it.

The floor, in numbers

What a manufacturer of socks is measured by

Four figures, all published on the site already, and all of them the kind a buyer can ask about on a video call rather than accept from a brochure.

Annual capacity
20,000,000 pieces
Production lines
4
Factory area
5,000–10,000 m²
Employees
51–100

Knitting, toe linking, boarding, inspection and packing sit in the same building, so a question about your order never has to travel to a second supplier. That is the claim the live video call exists to test: you pick what the camera points at, in the order you ask.

Documents that name the manufacturer

Four pieces of paper, and what each one proves

A procurement file is usually assembled from these four. The column that matters is the last one: what it proves about who is actually making the goods.

The document set a manufacturer’s file is built from. Numbers are transcribed from the documents, not summarised.
DocumentIssuerWhat it proves about the makerWhere it sits on this site
amfori BSCI amforiA social audit of the factory entity at a named address, with an audit date and a validity date. It is not a product certification, and a page that presents it as one is telling you something about the page.26-0419962, until 14 Aug 2027, on certificates.
SEDEX (SMETA) SedexAn audit report shared with Sedex members by reference number, carried out against the SMETA format at the same address.ZAA600215648, audited 12–13 Aug 2026, on certificates.
Proforma invoice The contracting entityThe binding price, trade term, quantity and lead time, against a confirmed specification. This is the document that governs the sale.Explained on document desk; template at v2026-10.
Certificate of origin The issuing authority for the destinationWhere the goods originate, which is the document a customs broker asks for. It is added where the destination requires one.Listed on document desk and on the FAQ.

A trader can hold all four of these. What a trader cannot do is let you walk the floor your order runs on and photograph the machine it is booked on, which is the other half of the test.

Claim, parameter, evidence

Seven claims about this manufacturer, and how to check each one

The fourth column is the only one that matters if you are deciding whether to send a brief: every entry names something that exists on this site without you having to ask for it.

Manufacturer claims. Read down the evidence column to see how much of this you can verify before the first email.

The limits of the manufacturer claim

Four things this page will not tell you

A manufacturer page that ends in adjectives is worth less than one that ends in refusals. These are ours.

  • No capacity promise for a given month. The floor has four lines; what is free when is confirmed with the quotation, not asserted here.
  • No customer names. The brands and importers we knit for are not ours to publish, and a manufacturer who lists them will list you too.
  • No price list. The binding figure sits on the proforma invoice, against your specification, colour count and quantity.
  • No claim to be the cheapest, the biggest, or the oldest. All three are unverifiable from outside, which is exactly why pages that lead with them are the ones to read second.
Verification, in the order it pays

Five pages that let you check instead of trust

Each of these exists so a buyer can assemble a file without an email round trip. Read them in this order and the first enquiry is a specification, not a questionnaire.

Five pages and the part of a manufacturer check each one covers.
PageWhat it coversWhat you end up with
About the factory The floor, the address, the photographs.A named building and a way to see it live.
Certificates BSCI and SEDEX, with dates and holders. Two documents your compliance desk can file.
How to vet a socks supplier A checklist, run against us first.A shortlist that survives its own questions.

Ask for both entities on the proforma invoice

Before a deposit moves, ask for the contracting entity and the factory entity on the same document. Both are published above; a supplier who cannot produce them on one proforma invoice has a gap worth understanding first.
