Socks for Vietnam

Vietnam is not named in our published market list. What is published, in full and with a worked example, is the volume arithmetic: one pair takes 0.00096 m³, and a 10,000-pair order at 100 pairs a carton is 100 cartons and 9.6 m³. That is the part that crosses over.

Cartons on pallets in the packing area, stacked and counted

Cartons, counted before anything is promised. Freight is a volume decision before it is a rate. The figures on this page come from our own worked example, which is why the carton count and the cubic metres can be checked before a quotation exists.

Four numbers that decide the freight mode

A first order and a container order are not the same decision. These are the figures that separate them, all published on the shipping-volume page with the arithmetic shown.

One pair, in cubic metres
One pair, in cubic metres What to check: 0.00096 m³ per pair. It is the figure the whole calculation is built from, and it is small enough that people underestimate a carton.
Ten cartons is 1,000 pairs
Ten cartons is 1,000 pairs What to check: at 100 pairs a carton, the minimum order is ten cartons and under a cubic metre. That is a parcel decision, not a container one.
A hundred cartons is 9.6 m³
A hundred cartons is 9.6 m³ What to check: 10,000 pairs. Cross this line and sea freight starts making sense on cost rather than only on patience.
What leaves this building
What leaves this building What to check: the packing side of the same address the audits name. The carton markings are confirmed per style on the packing line of the proforma invoice.

The Vietnamese gap, named

Vietnam is a sock-producing country in its own right, which makes an invented market claim here even less worth making. These four are absences and limits.

Vietnam is not in our market list

Our published list is North America, Western Europe, Eastern Europe and Eastern Asia. Vietnam is not named, so no page on this site claims a Vietnamese market position.

No comparative claim

We do not compare this floor to Vietnamese, Turkish or Indian production. Those comparisons are done with figures neither side publishes on a page, and they are not ours to make.

The transit window is destination-dependent

The published figures are 25–40 days by sea, 5–10 by air and 3–7 by express, depending on destination. The specific lane decides where in that range your shipment lands.

What is not published

No Vietnamese customer names, no warehouse, no market share, no duty statement. Only the volume arithmetic crosses over, and it crosses over exactly.

From carton count to landed carton

Five stages, each with the figure that governs it. Stages two and three are the ones this page exists for.

Send the quantity, get the cartons

The carton count follows from the quantity and the case pack, and both are settled before a quotation. Send the quantity per style and any receiving rule your DC has, and the reply can carry the volume as well as the price.
