MOQ: 1,000 pairs per style, and what that count is counted on
MOQ on this site is 1,000 pairs per style. The count is per style, not per size, and one style can split across sizes. That distinction decides whether your quantity clears the minimum before anyone argues about the price.
- 1,000 pairsPer style — the figure a bulk price is built on
- Per styleNot per size: one style may split across sizes
- Starting pointFor negotiation, not a fixed floor
- On the quotationConfirmed for your construction before you commit
1. The figure, and what counts
The minimum is 1,000 pairs per style. One style can split across sizes; the count that matters is pairs per style, not per size.
That sentence is the whole of the MOQ rule, and the second half of it is the part buyers miss. Four sizes in a style do not multiply the minimum by four, and they do not divide it either: the run is judged on pairs of that style.
The 1,000-pair minimum is what lets a factory of our size knit, link, board and pack your order on its own floor without batching you into somebody else’s run. That is the reason the number exists; it is not a sales threshold.
MOQ is a starting point for negotiation, not a fixed floor. The figure that governs your order is confirmed on your quotation for your exact construction before you commit.
2. What happens below it
Whether a lower quantity is workable depends on the construction, and it is settled per enquiry. That is the site’s own wording, and it is deliberately not a yes or a no: a lighter construction with one colour behaves differently from a heavy terry with three.
Where a run below the minimum is not workable, the sample route is the standing alternative — you get the physical sock to show and to sell against, without committing a run that the floor cannot economically set up.
- Below 1,000 pairs per style: settled per enquiry, on the construction
- Where it is not workable: the sample route is the standing alternative
- A lower quantity is a question, not a promise — nothing is agreed before paper
- The answer arrives with the costing, not after it
For the order-type view of the same floor — bulk, sample, repeat and multi-style briefs — see minimum order. For the process from brief to bulk, see sampling.
3. The same floor on a reorder
A repeat does not lower the minimum. Can I reorder below the minimum? Usually not below 1,000 pairs per style, which is the bulk minimum. A lower quantity goes to the desk as a question rather than as a promise, and the answer arrives with the costing.
What a repeat does change is everything around the sample round: the specification sheet, the signed sample, the artwork file and the dye lot carry over, so the calendar starts at the deposit instead of at a new sample.
4. Where the figure is confirmed
The number comes back with your reference range, the trade term it sits on and the sample lead time, in the same reply. A quotation is a costing against your brief — a reference range, the trade term, and the MOQ — and the proforma invoice is what binds it.
Quantities are costed against the same bands the enquiry form offers, per style: under 1,000 pairs, 1,000–4,999 pairs, 5,000–19,999 pairs, and 20,000+ pairs. The size of the step between two bands is not published, and no percentage off for volume is published either.
Why the step is not published: yarn, needle count, colour count and packing change with the order as well as the quantity does. The clause is in wholesale terms, section 5.
