Factory-direct means the entity that answers your email is the entity that holds the machines, and that the address on your packing list is the address in the photographs. It does not automatically mean cheaper, and this page says which parts of the price it actually moves.
The claim is easy to check and easy to fake, so it is worth stating precisely: who knits, where, under which audit numbers, and what changes when there is no trading house between the brief and the machine.
The obvious expectation is a lower price per pair. That is the one item on this list that turns out to be conditional; the other five are what people notice after the first order.
A question about terry density reaches the person who sets the machine, not a sales desk that then asks a factory. That is the real benefit of direct: fewer translations, not fewer pairs.

Buying direct removes a margin layer only if that layer existed. Where the price difference shows is in the setup spread on a small run — 1,000 pairs versus 5,000, not ours versus theirs.

No. 79 Jiangbei Road, Datang Sub-district, Zhuji City, Zhejiang Province appears on the packing list and on both audit documents. A trading house can carry the same name on a document; it cannot carry the same building.
A factory that knits to order has nothing to sell off a shelf. That removes a category of bargain and a category of risk at the same time: no end-of-run stock, and nothing to substitute for your style.

Direct order or not, the approved sample is what bulk is knitted to. Nothing in the direct relationship lets a change reopen the spec after sampling without becoming a new sample round.

Direct does not mean EXW by default. We quote the term that fits your market — EXW, FOB, DDP or DAP — and the term, not the relationship, decides who pays the carriage and the duty.

Every question below can be answered from documents that already exist on this site. A supplier who cannot answer them is not necessarily a trader — but a supplier who will not is telling you something.

The cheapest test on this list is the fourth column of the second row: compare the address on the audit with the address on the packing list. It takes two minutes and settles most of the argument.

The point of buying direct is not that there is less paperwork. It is that every document names the same building.

Each of these is a fair assumption and none of them holds here. They are worth knowing before the first email, because each changes what you ask for.
